My daughter has the herp, oral version, but let's call them fever blisters (I'm sure that is what Paris Hilton's mom calls hers, too). Her fevers have been high, she cries inconsolably, she wakes up drenched in sweat, won't eat or talk (won't talk? call 911!) her lips and mouth are raw, it sucks! We saw the doctor today who dx her and gave her an anti-viral to shorten the course of the illness and some topical medicine to treat the blisters. Everyone on Laurel Ave is miserable! She is contagious for another 7-10 day so that means we need to try to piece together daycare for next week (daycare is also closed the following week so I am already off then). Give me a ring if you like sick kids!

of all the things that you say about your child...i think this one is going to rank in the top 3 when she becomes and adult! so sorry to hear about the extended stay of the illness train at Laurel...
