Road trip

Do you remember the first time you were in the car with your baby and Love Shack came on the radio? You just had to crank it up, yelling "Nori, this was the jam" and then begin to car dance like a fool. Sometimes you get so excited you forget that the lyrics to an old fav may not be that kid-appropriate? Don't judge.



After dropping Tone Loc Jr. off with her grandparents, we made it to Jana & Tyler's reception at the Raccoon Nature Lodge. Quite a year of firsts for Jake: not only did he get to help the bride with hair & make-up and serve as flower girl at the last wedding, this time he had the honor of helping decorate, arrange flowers, and prepare food. It's okay, he's part gay (the top part).

It was wonderful to see them married as well as all the photos from their beach side ceremony in Maui, they have come so far on their journey together! Congratulations Molstres!

A special note to all dads out there, Happy Father's Day, especially Jake, Bill Pal, Papa Michael, FIL Steve and my surrogate father, Andy Ho. After Norelle's awesome time in Winona and brief stint at Good Earth Village camp, we all met up in Austin to celebrate Father's Day with Grandpa Dick and Grandpa Steve. Upon returning home, Nori gave Jake presents: a watercolor, handmade bookmark, homeade fishing pole, new sports socks and underwear. He earned a make-up day next week when he can relax without driving all day.

How did we get so lucky to have Jake as the daddy in our family?
