After a long day on Friday, Casey & Hil treated us to a nice breakfast in her super cute new apartment located exactly 8 blocks from my house. She made gluten-free (of course) pancakes and ham & cheese omelets while Casey brewed up some coffee. Just what we need...someone to take care of us after a long emotional day. They are great together and Casey has matured so much in the past few years. I love him! Anyway, turns out the ski boot fiasco was still not over for Hil. She went to Buck Hil(l) to ski for the first time and spent over FORTY MINUTES struggling to get the boots on! She ended leaving and driving to Joe's to get a lesson on the boots only to discover that instead of pulling the boot tongue back, you pull it up and it pops, opening the boot. No one even told me that, I simply contorted my foot around the 90 degree angle until it was painfully in.
Afterwards, I met my Aunt Jill at the Bead Monkey to pick out crystals for a bracelet for Tasha. We chose Garnets (the baby and my birthstone), clear crystals (Tasha’s) and Ruby (her daughter Ali and Jake's birthstone) to make the bracelet. I also bought Ali a cute All About Me kids scrapbook/handprint/growth chart/story kit at Creative Kids Stuff for her gift at the Entrustment Ceremony. Jill & I went to Cafe Latte to chat and then I met Sarah & Sabro at Nina’s (see PukevsMeow for photos). Ahh, what a day! Today I am off the workout and run errands. As Jake said "I'm glad you are back off the wagon" meaning I am back on coffee so I have the energy to do all of this!
